Woodcroft Cottage | A luxury Yorkshire Dales cottage with aromatic hot tub and just down the lane from a country pub

This stylish cottage makes the most of its charming countryside location, set in the woodland and open fields of the quaint Yorkshire village of Hudswell. Woodcroft Cottage mixes its peaceful setting with modern luxuries including finely refurbished rooms and its romantic outdoor hot tub. Couples will find the cottage in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, just a short walk from the local pub and surrounded by a myriad walking opportunities.

Step inside you will first find an open plan kitchen, crafted to a high standard and including everything you could want for cooking, along a special welcome hamper including local treats. There’s a dining area for cosy meals in or you can wander through the cottage’s large patio doors and enjoy your dinner with a picturesque view of the Yorkshire Dales. There’s a charcoal barbecue for alfresco meals too.

The living room is a great base to relax – with a crackling log-burning stove and large comfy sofas. There’s a Smart TV and free wifi for you to use and this room, along with all the others in Woodcroft Cottage, has been lovingly designed with classic soft colours and furniture, so you’ll feel right at home.

Upstairs, there are two beautiful ensuite bedrooms. The master bedroom has a comfy king size bed. Its ensuite includes a large freestanding bath and separate walk in shower. The second bedroom has a super king size bed which can be set up as a super king or a twin, depending on which you’d prefer. If you’re bringing children, there are Z-beds for kids under ten, and cots and high chairs can be provided free of charge.

The cottage’s aromatic wooden hot tub is a special feature, set just outside in the privacy of your own back garden. This is a great place to relax after a day walking the hills, or to sit out late at night and do some star watching.

Once you are here, there is all of Yorkshire to explore, with walks starting from the doorstep. The National Trust walk through Hudswell Woods is close-by, and we think the village’s award-winning George and Dragon Pub, with its cask ales and proper pies, might tempt you out too.

It’s a refreshing five mile walk from Hudswell to the market town of Richmond, North Yorkshire – which includes a whole cluster of restaurants, bars and cafes, Normal Castle and Georgian Theatre. There’s lots to see a short drive away as well, and the cottage comes with free parking. Head to Malton – which is becoming ever more renowned for its fine food options or check out Skipton, with its bustling market and castle grounds.
