After reading rave reviews about the food, atmosphere and service at The Baron at Bucknell we knew we just had to include it. And with the newly built Garden Rooms this hidden gem becomes a destination in its own right. Each Garden Room is privately positioned and has its own large hot tub. To top it all off you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the new natural swimming pool - a real show stopper!

Situated in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and surrounded by stunning views of the rolling Shropshire Hills, the Baron at Bucknell is a great country inn near Ludlow. Also known as ‘The Baron of Beef’, this cosy pub serves super-fresh home cooked food. There’s no surprise that the emphasis is on high quality locally sourced meats, but vegetarians are also well catered for with some lovely fresh produce from the area.

The Garden Rooms are a new addition to the rooms at The Baron. Each Garden Room is self contained and consists of a large suite with super kingsize Hypnos bed, a comfy sofa and a wonderful wet room with walk-in shower. It has been kitted out with all little luxuries to make your stay comfortable and memorable like the contemporary real flame fireplace,

55” smart TV, WiFi and bluetooth sound bar. Netflix and Amazon Prime are included so you can chill out and watch your favourite film while cosying up on the sofa.

Large patio doors open up from your room and give access to the generous deck with sun loungers, seating, hot tub and deck shower. The views across the natural swimming pool with the hills beyond are stunning and make this a perfect place to relax and enjoy a romantic break in Shropshire. Top tip: all Garden Rooms are lovely and private but the Long Mynd room offers most privacy.

The Baron is ideally situated to enjoy a break from daily life with some of Britain’s finest scenery right on your doorstep. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to walks; no less than ten walks have been compiled which all start and end at Bucknell. Varying from just under 2 miles to almost 10 miles there’s something for everyone.

The town of Ludlow is only a 20 minute drive away. Steeped in history and with over 500 listed buildings, this renowned foodie destination is a great place to be whatever the weather. There are many individual shops and boutiques, markets and cafes. With its rich heritage, culture and vibrant atmosphere Ludlow is a must for some fantastic days out.
