Settle down in the beautiful Sussex countryside at this sophisticated woodland cabin. Cosy up by the outdoor fire-pit, soak up the suds in your own hot outdoor bath surrounded by twinkly lights, and step out to your gorgeous 33-acre home-from home, full of meadows and farm land.
East Sussex is an easy one-hour hop from London, and offers lots of outdoor things to do, as well as great pubs and restaurants. Here, you are just across from the 320-acre Bedgebury Pinetum with its long laid back cycle rides, and a stone’s throw from the beautiful Bewl Water Reservoir. The nearby Ticehurst Village is full of artisan shops and the award-winning Bell Inn pub, making this a great spot for a romantic trip away with fun indoors and out.
You will find Daisy Chain Cabin tucked by woodland, and it fits perfectly with the natural countryside view. Step up onto its wooden veranda, which stretches right across the cabin, and enjoy the scenery. Then, in through its front doors, and inside you’ll find cosy natural materials have been mixed with all the mod cons, so your stay will feel calm and luxurious too.
In this living space there’s a toasty wood burner, with a comfy green sofa and classic leather armchair, making it a great space to unwind. Behind you, you’ll find an ideal kitchen for self catering, complete with oven, fridge, dishwasher and plenty of cupboards for all the treats we suspect you’ll be bringing home from the local Eggs to Apples Farm Shop.
Keep your eye out for some treats as the cabin owners will leave out some locally roasted coffee for you, along with other drinks to get your holiday off to a lovely start.
Head through from here and you’ll find a calm and relaxed bedroom space with a king size bed, vintage gentleman’s wardrobe and dressing table. The cute cabin windows mean you’ll wake up with a real countryside view.
The shower room benefits from a proper hot water supply, and includes a rainfall shower, with towels and toiletries waiting for you. There’s even a heated towel rail – so no chilly showers here. The cabin is connected to mains electric, water and waste so there is running hot and cold water and a real flushing loo.
For a relaxing bath with a difference, step outside and you’ll find there’s a beautiful free standing bath, hooked up to a running hot water supply. Turn on the twinkly lights here, and enjoy a unique night time experience. You’ll also find a bespoke wooden rocking chair for two – making it a nice spot for a morning coffee, or a place to wait for your pizzas to finish cooking, which you can make using the cabin’s very own Ooni wood pellet-fuelled pizza oven.
Once you are ready to explore, you’ll find Downash Wood is just a short walk from Bewl Reservoir, which is 12.5 miles to walk around, with some spectacular views. The nearby Bedgebury Pinetum has a Go Ape site for the adventurous, while fans of local shops will enjoy a walk to the charming Ticehurst Village. And if you’d like to spend a day by the coast, then the quirky shops and seaside at Hastings is only half an hour away, with Eastbourne and Rye close-by too.
