Rose Cottage is a romantic 18th century boutique hideaway with 21st century luxuries. The cottage oozes character with its wonky walls and beams, but has been lovingly updated in a French shabby chic style with Farrow and Ball paints and luxury wallpapers. Perfect for romantics fancying a luxury break in Devon it boasts an amazing double copper bath and large private hot tub in the garden.

You’ll find Rose Cottage in the village of High Bickington, a small rural village set in the picturesque North Devon landscape set between Exmoor, Dartmoor and Bodmin moor and only 9 miles from the market town of Barnstaple. The village of itself offers one pub, a post office with fantastic village shop, beauty salon and a golf course.

Rose Cottage has a gorgeous large master bedroom with super king French bed, French furniture and feature wall. Just outside the bedroom you will find a bathing hall with a large tin covered copper bath, sideboard and chair on the original floor boards.

Downstairs is a large lounge with corner sofa offering seating for 4 in front of the log fire and a Samsung 43 inch Smart LCD TV, complete with Sonos Beam and Surround Speakers. The open plan area also includes a large dining area offering an oak table with seating for 4 and an honesty bar (with wine tasting menu). The whole area is large but cosy with log burner for warming winter breaks.

The kitchen is fully equipped with an inset farm house sink, electric cooker, hob, dishwasher, Dualit branded toaster and kettle, coffee maker. The crockery is Emma Bridgewater Black Toast and the cutlery is by Vileroy and Boch. The downstairs bathroom offers a large bathroom including bath with shower over, WC and sink.

The second bedroom is beautifully decorated and offers an ultra comfy double bed with Laura Ashley head board. It is located on the ground floor, making it perfect for less abled guests.
