Mulberry Lodge | A luxury lodge with balcony hot tub and sauna, made just for two near Richmond, Yorkshire

Step inside this specially designed retreat and you’ll find an interior which mixes high comfort with pared down and relaxed aesthetics. There’s a living room, complete with Chesterfield Leather Style Sofa & Chair for relaxing in the evening and a Jotul Woodburner and soft lighting for toasty nights in. There’s also a 55” LCD TV with Sky Sports cinema surround sound too, and the lodge and surrounding site has free wifi.

There’s also a wooden dining table with chairs, for laid back meals.Step into the bedroom and you’ll find a luxury kingsize bed, with its wooden cladding and high vaulted ceilings. The bathroom is just across from here. This little luxury number includes large Rainfall shower and Deep Contemporary Bath, Geneva Bathroom Products along with everything else – although, don’t worry, the spa you’ll be really looking forward to is the one just outside on the balcony terrace.

Out here you’ll find your own two-person American hot tub, where you can chill out among the bubbles and enjoy the country surroundings. There’s also garden furniture, so you can enjoy your morning coffee with a view. Or if the weather is really sunny, light up the barbecue for an alfresco lunch.

Once you step out of this retreat, there are walks from the doorstep. You’re on the brink of the gorgeous Yorkshire Dales, with its rolling hills and rocky crags. Get your walking boots on and go and explore. Closeby are Hudswell Woods, a National Trust property of ancient woodland on the south bank of the Swale.

There’s parking for two cars next to the lodge, and from here you’re a short drive from a whole host of activities. We recommend you check out the Norman Richmond Castle first, as well as the rest of the town with its market days and tea rooms.

You’re within easy distance of York, Whitby, and the East Coast, The Lake District, the West Coast, Catterick Racecourse and Newcastle. We recommend a trip to Wensleydale, so you can sample some of its famous Wensleydale Cheese from the creamery in Hawes. They do ice cream too, we’re just saying.
