Little Links Yurt | A romantic Devon glamping getaway with its own hot tub, tucked away on a beautiful farm

This rural retreat offers guests the unique chance to wake up in the tranquil setting of this beautiful farm in the heart of the Devon countryside. Little Links Yurt puts you on the doorstep of the great outdoors with views overlooking the dramatic Dartmoor hills, enjoyed best from your own Scandinavian hot tub, fire pit or secluded garden.

The creators of little Links Yurt have been farming at Borough farm for over 15 years and have turned meadows and vegetable gardens into a nature friendly haven filled with much loved, rare breed Devon and Cornwall longwool sheep, Connemara ponies and beautiful chickens, so your yurt is in a very natural spot, surrounding you with ponds, planted trees, pathways and flower gardens. And, while you’re here, you can experience how fresh food tastes with zero food miles.

Inside, Little Links is warmed with rugs, sheepskins and a cosy wood burner. Everything you need for a romantic break away in Devon is tucked into this handcrafted living space. There’s a kitchen and dining area, and a comfy double bed dressed with crisp white bedlinen. Candles light the yurt at night and create a romantic feel with the glow from the log fire and you can watch the stars come out through the skylight above you as the sun sets on your Devon day. Nearby is a shower room with floor to ceiling glazing to maximise the impact of the spectacular views, a wet room style rain head shower welcomes you and an antique hand painted toilet provides a quirky twist while a further tent offers a romantic roll topped bath with a view to die for.

Just outside the yurt, you have a private garden with picnic area. There is also a further meadow with a fire pit and rustic benches draped with sheepskins. This is where your private fresh-water, log-fired hot tub awaits you. Here, you can relax and ease away your day and admire this awesome landscape or enjoy the sunsets and starry skies from the heart of the country; Devon glamping at its best.

Little Links Yurt sleeps two, and can additionally sleep two children, with extra futons and linen provided.

You’ll be welcomed with elderflower cordial on arrival and your yurt will be decorated with flowers fresh from the gardens of Borough Farm where the owner, Julia and her family live. Breakfasts can be provided, as well as home cooked dinners, vegetable boxes and barbecue packs containing the farm’s lamb and other local meats. There’s even the offer of picnic hampers for romantic walks in the country, which is perfect as you’ve got so many walks from the doorstep.

In this land between the two wild moors of Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor lies the picturesque Tamar valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The farm’s owners recommend a stroll through the dramatic gorge at Lydford, to see the White Lady Waterfall and the Devil’s Cauldron. You could finish off your visit with a Devon cream tea at the tea rooms. For a wild walk, borrow an OS map and pack your swimming costumes too as there are plenty of wild swimming pools to discover.

If it’s gardens you seek then check out The Garden House, near Yelverton, the RHS Rosemoor Gardens near Torrington or the Eden Project, with its tropical and rainforest biomes. Top pubs nearby include the The Cornish Arms in Tavistock, The Elephant’s Nest at Horndon or the Dartmoor Inn at Lydford.

And then there’s horse riding…and mountain biking and sailing and kayaking and nearby beaches and local strawberry fields. Do as much or as little as you fancy.
