This is a stunning low impact building that benefits from the very best in traditional craftsmanship and cutting edge contemporary design. The building was constructed using local timber, stone and traditional building techniques and is powered largely by a small on-site wind turbine. The result is a stunning completely unique carbon negative building which sit comfortably in its environment in every respect.

A substantial 7ft feather-topped bed made of lacquered steel and leather is the centre piece of Hill Cottage’s bedroom. The unique design is complimented throughout by a range of specially commissioned fixtures and fittings. Adjacent to the bedroom, the bathroom area has a walk-in double shower lined with polished Caithness stone.

The lounge and dining area includes beautifully upholstered furniture and floor coverings in world-famous Anta tweed and a specially commissioned dining table. Effortlessly combining traditional and contemporary, Hill Cottage offers a wood-burning stove, a state-of-the-art home entertainment system and Wi-Fi. The kitchen provides everything you need to prepare locally sourced shellfish, high quality Scottish meats or to store ample wine for the duration of your stay. Sink and worktops are hand-finished in Caithness stone and a separate laundry room has washing, drying and storage facilities.
